Silbi (실비) is an insurance product that covers a portion of medical expenses that patients pay out of pocket after receiving healthcare services. The main advantage of this insurance is its low premiums combined with extensive coverage.
Silbi(실비) Coverage
Silbi insurance covers a wide range of medical expenses, including:
급여 Hospitalization/ Outpatient Treatment
Payment for hospital room, surgeries, treatment and prescription drugs covered by National Health Insurance in case of illness/injury
Coverage: 80% of the medical expenses, minus the amount paid by the client (20%).
Minimum Payment by Client: 10,000 KRW or 20,000 KRW, depending on the hospital.
Daily Outpatient Treatment Limit: Up to 200,000 KRW.

Requirements for Signing Silbi(실비) Contract
- ARC cardYou must possess an ARC (Alien Registration Card). The type of visa you hold is not crucial, but if you have a G-1 visa, you may need to make an upfront payment for the entire year.
- Good Health StatusIt is essential to be in good health. If you have visited a hospital in Korea, please discuss your medical history with our consultant to determine your eligibility for signing the contract.
